How to start your new home or alteration project

If you are unsure where to start for your dream home or renovation, let HWA make it easy.

Many of my clients have never worked with an Architect or Designer before and the idea of starting at the beginning can be daunting.

I'm here to help you take that first step.

Before you start

It can be helpful to Download the free guide to choosing an architect. This will aid you in being prepared for the first meeting, what to ask and what you might be asked.

Reach out

Book your 30min no cost initial meeting with us.

This is an opportunity to meet each other, ask lots of questions and see if we get along.

Not sure about your project?

Best to start with a Pre-Design review.

A deliberately low cost exploratory phase where we can explore and provide credible feedback to the questions all clients have.

Lets meet to get started

Most people reach out with a phone call or email to arrange a 30min no-obligation meeting with me about your project.

For others it can be easier to use the booking system to the right.

To call click here from your mobile or dial 04 333 0123.

At the meeting I can offer some high-level insight on the potential of your project and for achieving your goals. From there we will discuss how we may be able to assist and who else may be needed.

After this meeting, if we are a good fit we can progress to a Pre-Design Review phase or the formal Pre-Design Phase.

The introduction will usually take place at your project site; however we do have in-person meetings at our office or zoom meetings for offshore clients and where there are remote or challenging sites.

We look forward to hearing about your project and understanding how we may be able to help.

Vista Cres Multi-unit

Conversion of an existing house into two apartments

This is the second project I've engaged HWA for. I wouldn't have gone back if I wasn't happy the first time - and this project has been just as successful. Happy to (and frequently do) recommend HWA - just as long as he doesn't get so popular and busy that he can't work on my next projects.
