Pre-Design
At this stage, we have a thorough understanding of your requirements, your client brief and you have agreed to our Architectural Services Agreement.
Our attention starts turning toward the design process. We will convert your client design brief and develop our in-house architectural brief that covers practical layout requirements, connections to the site and surroundings and site-specific requirements. We’ll balance these aspects against the budgetary constraints to develop a holistic view of the project.

There is a bit involved in this stage:
-
If we haven't undertaken feasibility for you, we'll need to review the provided information before we start and fill any gaps.
-
We'll set up our in-house files and scheduling
-
We will undertake an accurate measure of any existing building/s and the site using 3D scanners, making drawings and taking photos.
-
Once we are settled on a brief and have obtained the existing building and site measurements, we will undertake an in-depth analysis of the site, looking closely at how sunlight moves across it throughout the year, wind, views, levels and the relationship with neighbouring sites.
-
We will then begin looking at design options, with sketches and 3D modelling of bulk and location options matched to the site information we gathered.

Once this is all up to date we are ready to start designing!
